A Much Anticipated Charleston Meal!

Tonight our dear friends Rick and Irene (Pinckney Simmons Gallery) will join us in the motor yacht (BWM 750Li) on a trip "ovva" to Charleston to have a fabulous meal at the much acclaimed Peninsula Grill (http://www.peninsulagrill.com/). The food is some of the finest I have ever eaten. The service is impeccable and OMG you have to have their famous Coconut Cake. The New York times calls it, "a little slice of heaven", and Bon Appetit said, "it is light as a feather". It is based on Robert Carter's grandmother's recipe. If you have never been there you are missing a tremendous experience.

Been Gone for a While . . .

As you can tell from the date of the last post, it has been a long time since I have posted to this blog. Since last summer we have moved from Atlanta (house is still for sale...) to Richmond, Virginia to be close to our families and most especially our son, daughter in-law and our grandaughter. We have not spent very much time at Fripp since we moved. Now that the official start of summer is here and we are "officially" back at Fripp, I hope to do better. I thought I would include a picture of the family. You can understand why we want to be close to them!
