Hurricane Hannah!

We left Fripp today to return to Atlanta in anticipation of a possible mandatory evacuation on Thursday. The latest storm track now shows that the storm will pass to the right of Beaufort Co and Fripp Island around midday Friday. The problem with the timing is that it will be during high tide. We decided to move our golf cart further inland to John and Teresa's house as our house is so close to the shore. We hope to return on Sunday to clean up any damage. Since the storm is still in the Bahamas the track could still change direction. We hope it continues to move further to the east.

Hello! My parents are currently in the process of reconstructing a new home on Porpoise Drive. Our family previously had a home before rebuilding and my wife and I have enjoyed the island for years! Our home base is also Atlanta. Do you know if Fripp has experienced a major storm, and if so what type of damage did the island incur? Thanks, take care and be safe!

For Justin----Fripp is supposed to be in the projected path for this upcoming weekend. We have had some thunderstorms going on there all summer, but no major storm. The beach continues to change every time we are down there, but such is life on a barrier island. Go to the FIPOA site for more informnation on the storm.
